I can read the sight word: were.
Objective: To read the sight word: were. (RF.K.3)
Materials: sight word card, colored sprinkles, tray
Procedures: Place a thin layer of colored sprinkles on a tray. Tell your child she will learn a new sight word. Show her the sight word card “were”. Have her trace and name each letter and then she will say the word. Repeat several times. Then she will practice writing previously learned sight words.
Conclusion: Have your child use the sight word “were” in a sentence and to write the sentence on lined paper.
