Digging Up Dinosaurs – Lesson 34

“I can put letters in ABC order!”

Objective: To put letters in alphabetical order. (RF.K.1)

Materials: toy dinosaurs, sharpie

Procedures: Purchase a bag or two of toy dinosaurs at a dollar store. Make sure there are 26 dinosaurs or more. Use a sharpie to write a letter on each. Have your child line up the dinosaurs in alphabetical order.

Conclusion: Your child will sing the ABC song to you while pointing to each dinosaur. Then the two of you can play with the dinosaurs and blocks together!
