Yum! What could be more fun than writing in chocolate pudding. Especially when you lick your finger between words!
Family Fun – Lesson 15
I can identify new sight words.
Objective: To identify sight words: again, pretty. (RF.K.3)
Materials: pudding, sight word cards, dish
Procedures: Place a thin layer of pudding on a dish. Tell your child she is going to learn two new sight words. Display the sight word “again” and read it to your child. Have your child trace “again” with her finger. Then she will copy the word by writing it in the pudding, saying each letter and then the word. Repeat several times and then do the same exercise with the word “pretty.”
Conclusion: Your child will read the words again and then she will write them three times on lined paper.
