Medieval Magic – Lesson 13
I can identify short vowel sounds.
Objective: To identify short vowel sounds. (RF.K.2)
Materials: five star cut-outs, five straws, glitter glue, tape
Procedures: Have your child write a vowel on each of the stars. Then she can decorate them with glitter glue. Tape each of the stars to a straw. Say a word. Your child will listen for the vowel sound and hold up the corresponding magic wand.
Conclusion: Have your child think of two words for each of the vowels and list them on lined paper.
