Arctic Adventures – Lesson 10
“I can read words and match them to pictures.”
Objective: To decode cvc words and match them to the pictures. (RF.K.2)
Materials: word cards and picture cards (dog, tub, hut, rug, bus, sun)
Procedures: Place the picture cards on the table. Give your child a word card to decode such as “dog”. Your child will sound out the word and match it the picture of a dog. Continue until all words have been read and matched to their picture.
Conclusion: Collect the picture cards and have your child read the word cards again.
