For this lesson, your child will need to use a moveable alphabet. You can search “moveable alphabet” on this blog for ideas. I chose bottle lids for this lesson.

AA lesson 11

Arctic Adventures – Lesson 11

“I can  spell cvc words.”

Objective: To spell cvc words. (RF.K.2)

Materials: letter lids (t, b, c, m, a, s, h, f, o, p, d, g, r, n, u), notecard, dots, marker, water bottle lids.

Procedures: Create a moveable alphabet with lids. Write letters on dot stickers and place them on the lids (or write letters directly on the lids.) Say cvc words for your child to spell on the three lines.

Conclusion: Have your child place letter lids on the three lines for you to read the words to her. Remind her that all words need a vowel so she will need to place letter a, o, or u in the middle of each word.
