Adventures – Lesson 12

 “I can play a memory game with words and pictures.”

Objective: To decode three letter words and to improve memory skills, (RF.K.2)

Materials: Word cards and picture cards (mud, cub, nut, tug, run, nap)

Procedures: Shuffle the word cards and picture cards together and place them face down on the table. Your child and you will take turns turning over two cards at a time. Your child will read any word cards that are turned over. If a word card matches a picture card, the cards are left facing up. If the cards do not match, they are turned face down again. Continue until all of the cards have been correctly matched.

Conclusion: Have your child read the words.
