Materials: The Cub (Set 3, Book 2)
Procedures: Discuss the cover of this book. Ask questions such as: What is the setting of this story? Who are the characters? What is the weather like? Do the polar bears look happy or sad? How can you tell they are a family? Turn to the inside front cover to read and discuss the vocabulary words. Then have your child read the book. Remember to ask questions about the illustrations, talk about the setting, characters, and plot, make predictions, point out details in the text, and so on.
