Arctic Adventures – Lesson 37

 “I can read sight words.”

Objective: To read sight words. (RF.K.3)

Materials: fish cut-outs, metal paper clips, marker, stick, string, magnet, white poster board, blue construction paper, scissors

Procedures: Cut our several fish shapes and attach a paper clip. Write a sight word on each. Tie a string to a stick and a magnet to create a fishing pole. Create a pretend “fishing hole” on ice with white and blue paper. Place the fish in the “water” and you child will catch them. As each fish is caught, he will read the sight word.

Conclusion: Your child will read all of the sight words on the fish.
