“I can read words and match them to pictures!”
Objective: To decode cvc words and match them to the pictures. (RF.K.2)
Materials: word cards and picture cards
Procedures: Place picture cards on the table. Give your child a word card to read such as “yak”. Your child will sound out the word and match it the picture of a yak. Continue until all words have been read and matched to their picture.
Conclusion: Collect the picture cards and your child will read the words again.
