Materials: bus cut-outs or clipart, marker
Procedures: Spread word cards on the table. Your child will choose a word card. To the tune of Wheels on the Bus, he will sing:
The sounds in the word go /sh/ /o/ /p/, /sh/ /o/ /p/, /sh/ /o/ /p/.
The sounds in the word go /sh/ /o/ /p/ and the word is shop!
Continue with different words.
Conclusion: Ask your child to read the words to you again. Then have her choose five words to write on a wipe-off board.
