I can decode sentences and tell if it is a positive thing to do.

Objective: To decode sentences and decide if it is a positive thing to do. (RF.K.4)

Materials: sentence strips, marker, yes/no cards

Procedures: Write several decodable positive and negative sentences on strips of paper. Make cards with thumbs-up and thumbs-down symbols. Talk about positive and negative behavior. Look for positive statements in The Tune. Your child will choose a sentence from a basket and read it. He will decide if the statement is a positive thing to do or not and place it by the corresponding card,

Conclusion: Dictate three positive sentences for your child to write on lined paper.
