Here is a fun rhyming lesson to go along with our new story, Steve and Pete.
Family Fun – Lesson 27
I can match words that rhyme.
Objective: To match words that rhyme. (RF.K.2)
Materials: dog bone shaped cut-outs, marker
Procedures: Cut out bone shapes. On the ends of the bones, write words that rhyme. Then cut the bone in the middle to form a puzzle. Spread the words on the table. Your child will chose a bone half and match it the other half that rhymes. Continue until all of the dog bone puzzles have been put together.
Conclusion: Have your child think of additional words that rhyme with each bone.
