I can read cvc words using onset-rime.
Objective: To read cvc words using onset rime. (RF.K.2)
Materials: Styrofoam cups, permanent markers.
Procedures: Write consonants or blends on the rim of one cup and place it inside another cup. On the outer cup, write one or more word families. Your child will twist the cups, forming words to read to you. Some of the words may be nonsense words.
Conclusion: Have your child choose five of the words to write on lined paper.
