Forest Fun – Lesson 14
“I can play a memory game with words and pictures.”
Objective: To decode cvc words and to improve memory skills. (RF.K.2)
Materials: Word cards and picture cards (bat, cat, mat, cab, tab)
Procedures: Shuffle the word cards and picture cards together and place them face down on the table. Your child and you will take turns turning over two cards at a time. She will read any word cards that are turned over. If a word card matches a picture card, the cards are left facing up. If the cards do not match, they are turned face down again. Continue until all of the cards have been correctly matched. Then shuffle the cards and play again!
Conclusion: Have your child read the five cvc words again.
