Here is a tasty way to practice letter formation!
Forest Fun – Lesson 25
“I can write letters p, f, s, and h.”
Objective: To write letters p, f, s, h using correct letter formation and to identify the sounds. (L.K.1)
Materials: frosting, letter cards
Procedures: Spread frosting on a plate. Hold up the letter p card. Your child will use her index finger to form the letter p in the frosting while reciting, “p says /p/, p says /p/. She will “erase” the p and continue the activity with different letters. Guide your child if necessary to be sure she is forming the letters with the correct strokes.
Conclusion: Your child will name the four letters and sounds.
