Forest Fun – Lesson 44
“I can sound out new cvc words and match them to pictures.”
Objective: To decode cvc words. (RF.K.2)
Materials: word cards, picture cards
Procedures: Place picture cards on the table. Give your child a word card to sound out and match to the correct picture. (Use word/picture cards: mop, cob, cot, top, hop, hot, pop, sop, Bob.)
Conclusion: Remove the picture cards and have your child read the words.
