Forest Fun – Lesson 54
“I can read sight words.”
Objective: To read sight words. (RF.K.3)
Materials: Popcorn cut-outs, marker.
Procedures: Here is a fun family activity that will get your family moving! Make large popcorn cutouts and print sight words on each. Give each person a sight word and have them stand in a circle. Say a sight word. The person holding that sight word will go to the middle of the circle and pop up and down like popcorn. Continue until everyone has had a turn to “pop”.
Conclusion: Trade the sight word popcorn cards with each other and play again. Then enjoy a real popcorn snack or make homemade popcorn balls together!
