Forest Fun – Lesson 58
“I can read cvc words.”
Objective: To decode cvc words. (RF.K.2)
Materials: leaf cut-outs, clipart, list of decodable words, tent, blanket, books
Procedures: Take learning outdoors with a scavenger hunt. Hide pictures or objects around the yard. Give your child a checklist of decodable words. As each item is found, your child can check them off until the list is complete.
Conclusion: After the list is complete, ask your child to read the list to you. Then snuggle up in the tent and read lots of books together!
