Retelling a story is a good way to tell if your child has comprehended what she has read. Snail is a perfect story to practice sequencing events.

Objective: To sequence the events of a story (RL.K.2)
Materials: sentence strips, marker
Procedures: Write the sentences from the story, Snail, on strips of paper. Have your child read the sentences and sequence them to retell the story.
Conclusion: Your child will choose two sentences to write on lined paper.
