 Objective: To fluently read the story, Mud. (Set 4, Book 4)

Materials: Mud

Procedures: Discuss the cover of this book. Ask questions such as: What is the setting of this story? Who is the main character? Describe the crocodile’s situation. What do you think is going to happen in this story? Turn to the inside front cover to read and discuss the vocabulary words. Then have your child read the book. Remember to ask questions about the illustrations, talk about the setting, characters, and plot, make predictions, point out details in the text, and so on.
