When teaching your child to read, it’s important to have a moveable alphabet for your child to manipulate. Your child can use them for many activities such as, matching upper to lowercase letters, abc order, spelling words, making a new word by changing one letter, games involving letters, and so on. You can purchase magnetic letters or plastic letter tiles from a store as pictured above, or you can make your own! In the next several posts, I will show you some inexpensive ways that you can create your own moveable alphabets. It’s always more fun to have a variety!
