Outer Space – Lesson 5
I can read words and match them to their word family.
Objective: To decode words and match them to their word family. (RF.K.2)
Materials: white paper plates, water colors, marker, word cards
Procedures: Have your child create three planets by painting colorful designs on paper plates. When dry, label each planet with a word family (_en, _ed, _et). Make word cards and add rocket clipart. Your child will read each word and place it by the word family to which it belongs.
Conclusion: Ask your child to read the words again.
