“I can spell cvc words.”
Objective: To spell cvc words. (RF.K.2)
Materials: pebbles, marker, basket
Procedures: Create a moveable alphabet by writing letters on pebbles with a permanent marker. Place them in a basket or bin. Ask your child to see how many cvc words she can spell using the “moon rocks.”
Conclusion: Ask your child to read the words to you. Then she will write the words on lined paper using correct letter formation.
