Objective: To fluently read and comprehend the story, The UFO. (RF.K.4)
Materials: The UFO (Set 7, Book 3)
Procedures: Discuss the cover of the book. Ask questions such as: What is the title? What do the letters UFO stand for? Describe the UFO? Is this story real or make-believe? Who is in the UFO? How can you tell the alien is friendly? Turn to the inside front cover to read and discuss the vocabulary words. Then have your child read the book. As your child reads, discuss the illustrations, characters and plot. Have your child respond to the story by making comparisons and predictions.
