Outer Space – Lesson 25
“I can read cvc words.”
Objective: To read cvc words. (RF.K.2)
Materials: stars and planets shapes, marker, flashlight
Procedures: Cut out several shapes of stars and planets. Write a decodable word on each. Include words with sh, sn, and fr. Place the words around the room. Turn off the lights and give your child a flashlight. Explain to your child that he is an astronaut on a space mission. His mission is to use his flashlight to find each word you say and to bring them to you.
Conclusion: Have your child read the words to you again.
