Objective: To identify sight words: are, do, have, for (RF.K.3)
Materials: sight word cards, styrofoam tray, cinnamon, sugar
Procedures: Using word cards, teach your child to memorize the sight words: are, do, have, for. Spread a thin layer of cinnamon and sugar mixture on the bottom of a styrofoam tray, calling it “moon dust”. Have your child copy the words in the moon dust using her index finger while repeating each word.
Conclusion: Your child will read the sight words on the word cards.
