Pioneer Days – Lesson 11

I can spell cvc words.

Objective: To spell cvc words. (RF.K.2)

Materials: notebook, thin, colored markers or colored pencils

Procedures: After reading the story, Packing, give your child a notebook and colored markers. Ask her to see how many things she can remember from the story that the pioneers packed in their covered wagon. Then she may refer to the book to check her list.

Conclusion: Have your child choose three of the words from the list to write a sentence for each.
