Letters stampers can be used for a variety of lessons and are worth the purchase. For this lesson, your child will stamp out words in playdough.
Wild West – Lesson 14
I can spell words.
Objective: To spell cvc words. (RF.K.2)
Materials: play dough, letter stampers, rolling pin
Procedures: Purchase letter stampers and buy or make play dough. Your child will roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Say a cvc word such as “fox” and your child will press the letters into the dough to spell the word. Continue with different words.
Conclusion: Your child will read the words he has stamped. Then he can make up his own words to stamp. When interest wanes, have fun together making things out of the playdough.
